This dramatic chair was designed by Jonathan de Pas, Donato d'Urbino and Paolo Lomazzi for Poltronova, Italy, c. 1975, and was meticulously crafted in stitched leather, brass grommets and casters. Embossed maker's mark shown in photos. HT. 36, WD. 67, DP. 49 in. Seat height: 17 in. Note: Dedicated to the legendary baseball champion, Joe DiMaggio, the Joe Chairs is part of the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The whimsical chair design is now considered a design icon and cult classic.
